Snow library

This is my favorite place to read, write and study. It's quiet, warm and sunny:) When I walked in the library today I looked in the free book bin and found Chicken Soup for the Soul, 100 stories of inspiration. Just up my alley! I opened it up to find a laminated bookmark with beautiful butterflies on it. Nice find! class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Quote of the day

"The adventure of the sun is the great natural drama by which we live, and not to have joy in it and awe of it, not to share in it, is to close a dull door on nature's sustaining poetic spirit."
-Henry Beston

Brrrr it's cold outside!

I think I'll stay in this morning and read. Here are a few of my favorite books on nature writing...
The outermost house by Henry Beston
The profit of Dry Hill by David Gesner
(anything by or about Henry David Thoreau
The Great Beach by John Hay

These are all local authors who write about Cape Cods natural world and the great positive effects it has on them and their lives. About 2 years ago I wondered if my connection and desire to read and write about nature was silly but I did some research and found out there are many like me who simply thrive off the beauty and mystery of there surroundings.
